Rattle/vibration sound

New to the Pioneer forum but I'm pretty sure I've read every P500 thread. I have a new 2015 P500 that I've put about 300 miles on. So far I'm loving it. Same complaints as most about lack of storage but I'm addressing that too.

However, I noticed this rattle/vibration when I'm traveling at a good speed and coasting down a hill. Usually hear it in 4th or 5th gear with no accelerator. It's coming from what sounds like the drive train in the vicinity of the front drive shaft. I've tried it in 4WD and it might have been lessened but not eliminated. Nothing appears loose.

Anyone else experience anything similar? Thanks!

I too. Is yours also pretty noisy? There doesn't seem to be any trouble mechanically, just your issue and noise.

I was noticing noise from the back of my 500 as well. I found that putting a few small pieces of dynamat I had laying around on the secondary heat cover for the exhaust eliminated the noise. Not sure if that is your issue.

I had the same noise, it was the heat shield above the muffler (bolted to the frame). The shield hits the frame near the front where it's bolted to the frame. The cut out on the shield isn't enough. I installed another rubber isolator (basically shimmed it out from the frame). Fixed!
