Lowering or removing roll cage

I had done some research prior to purchasing my 700-4 and knew that I was going to have to lower or unfasten the roll cage and drop it in height to get it under the electric bunks in my toyhauler. I was told by one of the sales people at the place that I bought it that it could be unbolted and telescoped down. Obviously I would like to find the least troublesome method to load it under the raised bunks. Has anyone done this or have ideas that might be helpful with this?

Thanks

I've seen on other forums where guys "chopped" the roll cage and lowered it. It can and has been done if you have the talent and welder/tools to do it.

I think my problem may be solved and not by having to remove or chop the roll cages. The Happijac bunk system in my toyhauler only allows me 71 inches clearance and I knew that I was going to have to remove or chop the cage. But-Happijac is coming out with a mod for my bunk system that allows for the bottom bunk to be folded up on the side of the garage rather than raised below the top bunk. This would allow 80" from floor to the bottom of the top bunk and plenty of clearance for the Pioneer. In the mean time I found that the lower bunk/seats can be removed and stored in any space in the rig allowing transport of the 700-4. Once at your destination you can reinstall the bunk/seats. Where there is a will there is a way!
