Advice on Best Anti-theft device

First time SxS owner and new to this forum. Purchased 700-4 recently and looking for a decently priced anti-theft device. Have heard good things about disc locks but don't have any real knowledge. Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I don't have any really good advice since mine sits in front of the house with the key in it at all times. So far I live in an area that it isn't a problem and I never know when the neighbor might need to borrow it when I'm not around. Best thing is keep it out of sight and locked up in any way possible.

I'd be interested in better ideas, but what I've found so far is I can get a cable lock through the holes in a rear wheel and then wrap it around the frame. I can get the shackle of a small padlock through the cooling holes on the rear disc, but haven't figured out a way to use a real disc lock.

I think you can have LoJack installed.

Look at a GSM tracking device.
If you can get a 12v one and wire it up direct to the battery then just put a pre-pay sim card in and top it up as per your cell carrier plan.
In NZ we use them for various things and just top it up $20 each year and pay the casual txt rate of 20c each.
If you want to find out where the unit is, just send it a txt from another phone, and it will reply with the gps coordinates which you type into google earth.
