Swamped and feeling abused

Just bought a 700 4 this spring and it has been OK (a mystery "kill" on trail), and then it was swamped about 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately (I wasn't driving or on at the time, just a spectator) some folks advised the driver to try to start it again after it died. Bottom line is after 5 oil changes the thing still would not move so took it to the dealer for repair...and this event will cost 7000 dollars! 4000 in parts. It at least ran quite well when I dropped it off...now a total disaster. Sound right to the forum? Ses like a really bad design for a machine made for off-road fun.

Sounds like the dealer is bending you over, a lot. I can't say for sure what is wrong with yours but most likely it just needed some solenoids or connectors cleaned.

If you swamped it....prepare to pay. If you are gonna take it to a dealer, it's gonna cost yea. source a back yard mechanic, motorcycle mechanic. But going this route is...a gamble. Going with a dealer will be the quickest rebuild. You can also source ATV recyclers in your area. BENT TOYS is outta Ontario....

I blew the motor in my TERYX, the dealer quoted me $6500.
I swamped a quad one time, I paid to have it rebuilt, ended up costing ohhhhh I stopped counting after 5 grand, and it never ran the same...I sold it and took the loss. I disclosed the issues.
Buying Toys is not cheap....good luck....
