New 2019 pioneer 1000 5 le

Am looking to buy one this spring, never had sxs before, had two Yamaha grizzly, my question regarding the transmission, do you guys fined it annoying when it shift ? It does not shift smoothly like a car, and wounder if that gone be annoying on the trail at low speed?

You can tell when it shifts but it's pretty smooth. You also have the manual mode option that let's you pick and hold a gear if cruising at a pretty steady pace if wanted. It use 2 clutches so when it shifts into the next gear it is already in that gear, it just activates the other clutch so it pretty smooth.

Own one for whooping 8 hrs and does kick some when it shifts. Nowhere as ferocious as 500. Going faster, it shifts smoother. I did lots of questioning on 500, when I considered one, everyone said they eventually smooth out. I have good hopes after first oil change it will improve and eventually get just fine. As toodeep said, you can lock gear and stay in it.

It does smooth out after you get some miles on it.
