P500 not running good after water/role

New to the forum, but I have a 2015 honda p500 that I happened to get caught sideways in a watering hole and rolled over on its side. Had it towed back to the trailer and brought it home to review the damages. First I pulled the spark plug, drained the airbox, removed and cleaned the air filter, and did multiple oil changes. Next, I checked the fuel to see if it had water in it and it did, so I pulled the tank out and cleaned it out. Replaced all the fluids, oil, gas, and diff fluids, but now the bike will start and idle but stall when you try and give it gas. Don't know what to do with it now except maybe bring it to the dealership to see what they can figure out. Not really wanting that big $$ bill so any help or advise on what else I can check would be helpful. Thanks and look forward to being part of this forum.

Did you clean out the fuel pump. It has a very fine filter that could get plugged easily.

Yes, I putted the tank and cleaned out some nasty dirt that was in there and also cleaned the filter the best I could. When I put it all back together it seems to start and idle easier but still cant give it any gas off idle or it will die. I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump is bad or not delivering enough fuel pressure.

This is out of a 700 but same type of filter (cut open and no way to clean). If you had stuff in the tank it would be a good place to start.

Thanks for the info, I decided to just order a new fuel pump since it was only $79 at my local dealer. I'll keep ya posted on the results.

Update, I decided to cut my old fuel pump filter open like you did and MAN mine looked way worse than yours did. My new fuel pump should be here in a few days. Hopefully all my issues where in that pump.

Wow I better check my Fuel Filters, After cutting them open do you just clean them and glue the housing back together, or is something we can jut replace?

I just ordered an entire pump assembly, but I wasn't aware that it doesn't come with the pump. So hopefully my pump is still good and just the filter was clogged and limiting fuel pressure.
