That would work and then at least our name would be off the list with Honda and you won't get any more letters about it. Plus when the dealer runs the VIN and sees that it has been completed they won't worry about it.

Here's a copy of the recall for those that are interested. It has the VIN range on it also.

Page 4 would have been the customer letter that is not completed yet.

Just talked with my dealer mine is on recall Honda is not pushing it out until mid-october.Apperantly it is not sticks coming through but debris build up on middle skid plate cause a fire and machine to burn .So clean and wash the skid plates off after you use until they bring them in.

Welcome to the forum dirtroad. Most will never have a problem with this but for the ones that do I think this fix will help, but won't solve the issue. You can see on this one where it starts to pile up.

I picked mine up the 6 sept of this year and mine does not have the new skid plate. Will any Honda honor the warranty work. I have a bad report with the dealer in town about my pioneer. Do they have to do the warranty work or can they turn me away?

ANY Honda powersport dealer can do this for you. Right now parts are limited but still call ahead to the one you want to do business with and they can set something up. The dealer has to pre order, pay and stock the part until the work is done so they might not have many on hand even after the restriction is off. Have your VIN number or warranty card handy since they will have to run that.

Lol, this reminded me of the Seinfeld episode of the soup nazi.
NO SKIDPLATE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!

I'm sure they'll have to abide the warranty.
