I will simply say, I ride every type of terrain out there and I would agree they need a low gear. That being said, nobody buys a pioneer when looking for a rock crawler. Anyone who says these things can't climb obviously aren't very skilled drivers. I've not seen anything in its class outperform it yet. I assume when you say hill climb you mean screaming up buggy hills that are straight and long. in that instance yeah you aren't going to have the speed or power to get it done. But actually climbing, I haven't found a more adequate machine yet. You boys come ride the hills and hollers of Kentucky and I'll show you what these bad boys can do with ease. Seriously we should all get a good ride together

I forgot to mention. I don't always have the luxury of perfectly groomed trails in my neighborhood. That video is cute.

That was my attempt with the pic. I'm the only one in it because I had to back down and leave my family at the bottom bc the machine wouldn't make it with them in it. I though we were gonna have to winch it up with that commander in the background.

Pictures and videos are very deceiving when it comes to how steep or big a hill is compared to real life.

Kind of like this one... Looks like a nice little pile of dirt.

Looking down from the top gives a little better perspective but not much.

But the view is great no matter what anyone says.. lol

I've got about 18k in my rig already. I've learned what it can and cannot do. I really do like it, I'm just not interested in putting anymore cashola in it. I'm just gonna buy a second rig and let my girls drive this one. Base price, you absolutely cannot get more for your money than what the pioneer offers. Low gear would make it unstoppable. Much the same....why in the world is there no diff lock on the 500! That cost Honda a sale from this guy.
I hate to say it, but my next rig won't be a Honda, unless a sport unit comes out first. I don't want a polaris either and I refuse to pay what canams cost. We'll see. Again, I am a Honda guy, but I can't take it anymore.

Guys ya'll do realize we aren't allowed too say our pioneers are great or can climb hills and we love them. I think about every time we do someone says we are making it up are something. Just info for the new guy that did enjoy his pioneer but he just isn't allowed to say it anymore cause he will get crapped on if he says it can do things or he loves it. I guarantee there is more people that would share there stories but they see this kind of stuff and just sit back and say nothing. Cause there story will get crap started and they will get told that hill or trail suck it can't do that you making that up,, something.
