Parking brake is loose

Hi Gang,

I was out for a ride this week and noticed going uphill the parking brake warning light has been coming on (gravity pulls it down). The Parking brake handle is a little loose (it doesn't stay fully forward). I'm assuming the fact that I have left the P4 in storage with the park brake on the cable must have stretched? Unless there is a spring that holds it in the off or in the up position. Anyone know how to tighten this?

Thanks in advance

On the lower side of the rear caliper you should see the nut to tighten the cable. Just follow the cable and it should be easy to find.

I found the nut.....it was easy to tighten. It was a wing nut (no tools required).

Thanks for the info TooDeep!
