looses spark when throttle is applied

good day, I have a 2007 pioneer 700 that starts and runs and as soon as you apply throttle it won't rev up and you can see it drops spark to make sure it doesn't rev up. I have 12v at the coil from the ecm and when I check the ground there is no visible ground at the coil on the meter. the wire from the coil to the ecm is good. thanks for any help.

Check all the engine and frame grounds. There was a bulletin on loose bolts on grounds.

i have done that. thanks for the suggestion. it is a 2015 700 sorry for that confusion. its like a rev limiter. it wont' even take throttle in neutral. it cuts spark to prevent the engine from reving up.

I had a 14 come into the shop with about the same issue, it made it to about half throttle before cutting out. That one turned out to be a bad stator and you couldn't really test it because of when it was messing up. I swapped the pcm, regulator, checked grounds and wiring and even tried a different battery, fuel pressure test, changed fuel and so on before making the jump to the stator.

Us poor guys that don't have a parts room full of parts to try are SOL when it comes to diagnosing issues such as this. The protocol I am accustomed to is no returns on anything electrical.
