We get on the SxS or atv with a person driving and go slow and try to hit the 3D targets now that's hard. We do that kind of stuff a lot with AR-15's ride in SxS and setup a range a long a trail. Wood targets tho not the 3D archery targets lol.. that's pretty hard also but it's a ton of fun with guns.
We are just a bunch of country boy rednecks..[/QUOTE

That does sound hard, I understand the country boy redneck part, that's pretty much all we are here in south ga.

Anyone else here fly fish? It is great fun to fight a bright run Atlantic Salmon on a fly rod. They like to run and jump a lot! They get up to 30 lbs here.

I mostly hook and release but the odd one will get cooked up with new potatoes and butter. mmmm mmmmm good!

@scott that is the same size rod as I use with 6# leader. Takes awhile to get them in. Very relaxing sport. 24" trout is a big trout!

Yea i love reeling them in with a 5 weight you can feel everything. Yep it was almost the state record brown trout here. I use a #4-6 leader i use #3 for bass tho. Small mouth bass is unreal on a fly rod. A friend of mine is starting to make furleaders so i am going to try them when he makes me some.

Love fishing, don't get to do it as often anymore. This is on Hells Canyon, Steel Head. They usually run between 31 and 36"

Scott, if your ever out this way look me up. I'm not much into fly fishing but I live at the mouth of the Owyhee river which is a big attraction for Brown trout. It's about a 3 hour drive from my house to Hells Canyon, I have a 21' Thunder Jet that I fish from during the winter months from October to December. We then switch to the Salmon River near Riggins ID, which is also about a 3 hour drive from here. The fish are bigger in the Salmon, up to 42", usually about 36" though. I also have some good holes for smaller rainbows in June.
