[NEED FOR SPEED]

My Pioneer shifter seems very stiff. It also does not go in 4 wheel lock sometimes without moving forward or back. Mine only has 25 miles. Is this normal???

My Shifter is also a bit stiff and it has losend up a bit over time. I have to do the same thing to get it to go into 4 wheel lock.

Yeah. My shifters were really stiff. Either they loosen up with time, or I have gotten more used to it, or a little bit of both.

my shifter was a lil stiff but its smoothed out.. I have had to put the machine in reverse to get it out of 4-wheel drive once

Sounds like its time for a linkage adjustment on the Honda.

As far as the other comment, only you will know when its time for that adjustment.

It is designed to have to roll forward a few rotations of the wheels before it goes into 4x4 lock. Just like a 4x4 truck. That is perfectly normal. And the shifter is stiff on all of them at first. Again, normal.

Yep, mine was stiff with a loud clunk. Getting better now.

Just got mine yesterday. It too is shifting a little stiff. I think it's just a break in issue since everything in the linkage seems properly aligned after I looked it over. Time will tell but I think it's just a "new rig" issue. I will let you know if/when mine smooths out.

You could extend the shifter to be taller. More torque to shift.
