Hi all.... new to the Pioneer world. I'm wondering if it's absolutely necessary to use the $300 Honda accessory harness or if there is a different option that doesn't require the harness. I've been told not to wire anything to the battery because of the computer and can't seem to find a good wire to tap into. Seems a little ridiculous to have to spend $300 on a harness to install anything extra.

If a harness is required... are there any aftermarket options that aren't so expensive?
