I'll probably end up with the overhead model, if I can't find what I really want before fall. What I REALLY want is a rack that will carry a bow on one side and a gun on the other.....or, a gun and a bow (one rack). I can't believe someone doesn't make this.

If you call Great Day they might can put something together for you. I bought my gun rack from them and before they knew they made one that fit the Pioneer, they were offering to build one for my needs. They were very nice and accommodating.

Crossbow, I know the purist don't care for them but I also have a longbow. The longbow was purchased to teach the wife to shoot small game. She doesn't have the strength to load the crossbow.

Was referring to the crossbow, I don't like to tell most that I like them cause I was get told that not really bow hunting. I guess I can see their point but they can't argue the long bow. I hunt black powder most of the time mostly because I found that the weapon is just perfect for me.

suregrip seems to have some nice options. I plan to build a cross bar like I did for my radio and get the basic set of sure grips. this is the bar I made to attach my speaker/amp to it installs quickly by sticking it between the cross bars on the roll cage and tightening the nut up then just lock the second nut down on it to insure it doesn't back off. heres a pic of my speaker setup. it is quickly removed for washing. the power is supplied through a 12v cig plug that plugs into the receptacle I installed between the seat belts. then just plug the phone into it and go.

this is where I got the idea from.
Sure Grip Gun & Bow Racks

this is what im going to purchase to attach to the bar I build. it will mount over head right behind the windshield for quick access to the rifle. should hold a bow well in that position also I would think. the bow would extend over your head.
