Maybe?? I was thinking of going earlyish tomorrow anyway. I was thinking of tooling around at 5 mile or the knolls?
Looks like stockton is about a 55 min drive for me.
How long of a ride is it? I don't have a huge amount of time. What time would you want to get started?

Yes there is! The Owyhee mountains , Silver City, monster brown trout fishing along river there- big Muley's as well. Then an hour drive towards McCall ang you are back in the trees. You will love itHey whatsup

As soon as I get settled in I will have to hit you up for a tour of some good spots.
I think with the rivers up there I might have to get back into/more info fishing.
Do you know of any rockhound/collecting clubs up there?

Heck I am still not sure myself why?I opened up the forum tonight and about spit my drink on my screen. I didn't know anyone even knew where Nyssa, or was let alone how to spell it
I am just tired of city life.
I got a place on mitchell butte rd.
I plan on doing the whole self sustain thing? We will see how it works out. lol
So how is all the BLM land to the NW to ride on? I am on the border of that.

Well its definitely a small world! If your place if the one I'm thinking of its only about a mile from my house.
There are miles and miles of desert to ride to the west of your place, up rock springs road on out to twin springs, watson flats, ect...... tons of country.

That should make you about the 5th closest neighbor? Haha
I was checking out on Google Earth and my closest 3 neighbors will be .4, .5 and .7 miles from me.
I don't know if I am going to know what to do with myself? Heck right now I can't stand in my kitchen without 1 of 2 neighbors dogs staring at me and barking
Drives me crazy.

That's funny, dogs running free out this way usually don't last too long. People have livestock ect...... Plus with our Pheasant population its illegal to let your dogs run in the spring-summer time frame, don't get me wrong people do it. But they just don't whine too much when they turn up missing if you know what I mean. The only thing that'll be looking at you through your kitchen window up here would be an occasional coyote.

I will never understand why they shut down the sugar factory in Nyssa in favor of leaving the one operating in the middle of Nampa. Nyssa sorely needed the jobs worse than Nampa did and I'm sure the more densely populated Nampa area would have appreciated the smell going away.

I guess it is a good thing I like onionsBe sure to open your windows to get the Nyssa onion smell during harvest! Only occasion odor we get is the sugar beet factory
I might try my hand at growing garlic.
