Cabelas has a 2500lb Superwinch for $99. Or a Superwinch in a big for $150 which is apparently portable?Work jus so happened to gimme $150 cabelas gift card today. Is Superwinch chinese Junk??

I like warn. I've seen some superwinch that work great and some that work like cheap junk. May be due to model, or maybe they are hit and miss in quality. Just my opinion.

Depends on which model it is but the superwinch is an alright winch. They get the job done and last decent. The 2500 would be a little small though for trying to pull out a stuck machine.

i have 2 friends that bought them from cabelas and they work great on the foreman 400 and the suzuki 300 but ........both had to replace the rocker switches after a year or so

it was the 2500lb superwinch .....no idea on the modal man (i moved 2500 miles since then )

1.5 x the GVWR and pick the next biggest winch.

Moose I think my machine weighs 1200lbs. Using your formula would mean a 2500lb winch would be fine.

Gvwr includes max payload or weight of passengers. I think that's somewhere around( 1500+ 1200) x1.5= 4000.

I have had Superwinch products for years without any issues. I will admit that Warn is a superior quality product but the S/W have always gotten my ATV's through the roughest swamps around and my F150 out of some very tricky spots as well. Proper use of a snatch block will also double your winch capacity as long as you remember to take it with you, trust me it does you no good on a nail in the garage.
