was over on another Honda SxS forum, looks like Arizona is completely sold out of Pioneers, entire state on backorder. The member over there bought the last one available in Cali... and even Ohio is out until January 2014.

Good job Honda, you built a real winner here!!

When we shopped for ours. I called a 60 mile radius from my home and came up with only 2 on hand and hope of a couple coming in before the end of the year. My first choice was camo, but I was informed by every dealership there was a waiting list already on those. So I could have my Pioneer in any color I wanted at the time, as long as it was red.

So yeah, a good positive response

@moose if you really want the camo why not go for a vinyl wrap??
I do have a wrap on order. It's a digital camo.

The kids have taken to calling it Optimus, so not sure how it will go over. :p

We can't get enough of the M2, there is a list to get on. The M4 just has lookers right now, a little interest but no one taking it home. Every machine is going to work on the farm/ranch though so that makes a difference.

Ride now peoria has one. Arizona is not a big utility market, a ton more sales in the sport sxs. I would imagine not many Pioneers were ordered because of this, especially with the Big Reds dismal sales here.
I kept a pretty good pulse on the dealers in PHX until i put a deposit down. I agree that sport rules here... but dealers are being severely limited by supply. StarIsland in Prescott got 2 ( one M2 and one M4) and sold the 4 a week later. Now been waiting for a month for another shipment of 4's ( one of which i know is sold ). Meanwhile, they have had a 2 since the original order.
Coyote Honda got 2 4's, and must have sold them within hours...
The next one Western Honda gets is supposed to be mine. Been waiting 3 weeks now.

Pretty much everyone i talked to says there is tons on interest in the 4 ( which as you observed, is surprising in this area ).

The point is that i think there are lots of people who might have bought one that didn't want to wait a month, and went and bought a Teryx or something. Honda is costing themselves sales.

Interesting. I'm not a dealer or anything, but it sure seems like the 2's are in showrooms around here, while 4's are as rare as hens teeth.

Difference in location and uses probably. Here it's all for agricultural (farm/ranch work). ATV sales have always been good because of that. The nearest trail system that is worth riding is 250+ miles one way. For the farmer and the hired man the seat model fits them just fine, the reason for demand. We have a few lookers for the 4 seat model for taking guys out and showing the cattle when selling them or a few that have hunting lodges but no huge interest in them. Many of these guys already have the BR or another brand so they aren't in any hurry to buy.

The last M2 lasted 2 days in the shop. I have a complete cab system (except heater since it's not available) sitting here waiting for it to come back in. We have more on the list for the next ones coming in. We are a very small dealer, pop. of 1200 and we are one of the "larger" small towns in the area. We do have customers come in form over 400 miles away though, we treat the customer right.

My thinking would be "OK...the 4 does everything the 2 does, but can haul 4 people if need be". But then again, I'm not a farmer. But maybe if they have other SxS's, they don't need a M4...and the M2's price is certainly attractive. Easily the best bargain in SxS's.

Likewise, there are tens of thousands of miles of riding here in AZ. RZR's are thick...and you still have a lot of left-over Rhino's from when they ruled the roost. Local Poolaris dealer says he had his next 10 XP1000's pre sold ( @19,000 a pop! ). It's amazing that many people buy these things purely for use in Glamis. I like a more well-rounded machine myself.

Az sold out

I had to go to San diego to get mine. The dealer there had not seem the all the people try to buy, but, after I purchase it, They had 5 to 10 people come in. They now have a backlog

All of AZ is backorder.

Hey Honda, maybe you should start another plant
