Anyone put a block or coolant heater on their pioneer yet?

I would like to put one on for next winter so she is ready to roll at the turn of the key.

i haven't in a pioneer but i just put one in the lower rad hose in my 93 f-350 .....i got it off ebay for like $40-$50 ....... works good

No reason it wouldn't work as long as it is sized right for the rad hoses on the Pioneer.

Personally, I like the block heaters. The less splices in the hoses, the better.

Don't block heaters usually attach to the oil pan or engine block?

Yep, depends what you get and what you have for a motor. Some are magnetic. Others are more like a heating blanket. I've seen a couple bolted on so the person didn't have to worry about it ever falling off. Generally under is better so the heat rises onto the motor. Looks like there is a nice little cubby under the drivers side motor mount above the "skid plate".

I've seen people use a 100 watt lightbulb under a tarp before.

Tried one on my Diesel F 350. Not worth the effort. (Might be better on a smaller engine/oil pan?? )

Arctic Cat has something for snowmobiles. Not sure if its a block heater or hooks into hose. Might be something to investigate.
