Anyone else taken a good look at the boots?

I noticed the fins seems a little close? Basically touching.

Here is a photo from the passenger side on the wheel side of the shaft.

I should note this is with the wheels straight ahead.

Don't see anything wrong that's the way their designed atv's and automobiles have been using this design for years

Yes I know this is nothing new and has been used for years but its the angle that makes the expanding fins touch.

All I know is on Toyota Tacomas if the fins touch they wear out over time.

That should happen quicker here because these are always going to have more dirt on them so it acts like sand paper. It might take 10,000 miles but it will happen.

Your going to have more suspension travel and a lot of turning so the boots will not rub in the same place like traveling on a smooth highway

make sure you put rubber protectant on it and youll be good. your more likely of them cracking from bad maintenance then you are from them wearing them selves out
