Yeah. It's hard to beat the Bighorns. I'm not saying it can't be done, but for an all around tire, it's hard to beat.

Alright well they are probably more like 27" tires then, the Originals run almost a size bigger than branded.

Ah, good deal they aren't that far off for sizing then. I have 27" originals on my rzr 900. Good tires

Please explain how performance is enhanced. I too am looking at tires, last night I was looking at black mamba's. they appear to be much lager than stock even going up to 26" from 25". Mamba's look to be more for mud bogging. My plan is to keep stock until they wear down but I may buy replacements now thinking prices may go up substantially before the stocks wear out. I just don't understand how my performance will be enhanced?

Duwop. Larger aftermarket tires give you more traction, and higher ground clearance. You may also have a larger contact area or stance. Another enhancement is how many plys the tire is. The stock is only a 4 ply and IMO that's a little light on thickness for a SxS

You can tell a little bit of difference going to a bigger tire but BigHorns arent anything like the Black Mamba 27x10x12 are a actual 27" diameter tire weights 55 pounds so im sure you will feel the difference on power..

I didn't know that stock was only 4 ply. Every time I go into woods I'm concerned about punctures, we have a lot of locust trees and briars were cutting down. Ground clearance would be why I'm interested in different tires, well and now the ply rating. My top speed is 43 but I saw someone post they were getting 45 phr. I don't think so, it may say that but the revolutions are different. The calibration for speedo needs adjusted for size. I'm not concerned about get more top end.

Moose, I notice with the wheel upgrade you went with 12s why not 14s. Are they to big(rub)?

My rims are 14". Aluminum rim is a lot lighter than the stock steel. I suggest trying to stay as light weight in your new combo as possible. Those mambas weigh about 12lbs more than one of my new tires on the rim. That's okay on a machine with extra cc. On a pioneer build, stay light. Just my opinion tho.

Thanks again for all the input, I'm enjoying learning these things even if I seem annoying sorry. Just want the ultimate experience too.
