We are going to have some better weather starting in a few days. I can't wait to get a good ride in. It seems we have been frozen for months.

I am in north central MN. We have been below zero almost every night and a majority of the days in the last 2 months.
Looks like we break the freezing mark on Thursday, then drop right back into the deepfreeze.

I heard a rumor of a 40 in a week or so.

We have had a "traditional" winter in this area with "old time" snow levels and extreme temperatures. We are all of a sudden seeing some trees starting to bud and Robins flying around so I am hopeful that this will break quickly and we have an early spring.

And they said it was cruel to hold the groundhog' head under the snow so he didn't see his shadow.

Not sure where my attachment went showing the -34 temp gauge here this morning
yeah it's been -30 here for the past few days. Makes me wish I bought the full enclosure with heater to go for a spin. Hopefully you guys down south get a break from the cold snap you have been experiencing.
Looks like us Canucks could start a sub-group called "Shivers".

It has to get pretty cold to stop me from doing things outside. Most days are -8 to -16 Celsius. It has to get below -20 Celsius before I take shelter. I think we are on the upswing now though. Spring is just around the corner (and by that I mean about a month away.)

Do you guys let the weather stop you from taking out your Pioneer?
Nope, the cold doesn't stop me or the snow. or the wind. If I don't go out to do the work, I won't have any heat in the house.
If I used wood heat or had to work outside on the property I would still go out and do it, but I am not going for a below zero fun ride.

can't wait till it gets a bit warmer

not like you can't have fun in the snow though.

Got to love using wood to heat your home.
I actually like the whole process involved to get it, feels rewarding after.
The weather guy here has his panties in a knot. He forecasting 12 " of snow starting this afternoon ending Thursday night. It has been 4 years since it has snowed that much at one time. Bring it on I say, had my son help get the leaves out of the yard yesterday. He have what's termed a gentle slope to our property. Let me tell ya, when the kids were small I use to worry about them getting hurt sledding its that gentle. Anyway the sled slope is ready, I could pull him behind the Pioneer or we can just get out and ride to the lake again. A foot of snow is a big deal here as this area will be crippled for days. Pics to come
