So here in the SE part of the states our winters are a little more temperate than most of our northern cohorts. Average snowfall locally is around 14 inches annually and average temps for winter are somewhere in the neiborhood of 43 degrees. I know I can hear you shouting "it must be nice". This years as you are aware the temps across the upper portions of this nation have below normal. I really don't see a need for purchasing a heating system for my P2 for two reasons, one is I'm not suppose to outside much as my docs don't want me to get sick as this will exasperate my health problems and two is it just don't get that cold. I do like to get outside and I do want to ride my P2 so I purchased this product to help keep me warm what little amount I will be outside riding. The plus side is I can put a battery in my ground blind/or stand with a solar maintainer and be able to enjoy hunting more next winter with this type of product. I'm unable to sit for more than an hour but have figured I might be able to layer this under my hunting coat while standing as I can stand for a little longer period. So I will give my review of this product at a later time. If anyone has utilized something similar please leave comments.

My brother is in a wheel chair and he uses a pad from wallmart on his chair during the winter for a lil extra heat at the camp. His is plugged into his chair battery and he seems to stay out in the cold a lil longer and he is a small fellow at 150 lbs

Thanks for the input, I'm not much larger my brother has heated seats in his van and it was really comfortable when I went with him. I will let you know how it works out for me. My best to your brother.
Oh yeah my dad takes him camping and hunting he has his own blind that he drives his polaris into and hunt. And when we are at the camo usually even around the fire he would only stay outside for around an hour but now its like 2 maybe 3 hours and hes heading in. It really helps with your core temp
Put the cushion on the P2 last night. Normally I dress in layers but for the sake of true science I was wearing only work pants, shirt and hooded sweat jacket (hoodie). Ambient air temp was 35 degrees humidity 30%. I set switch to high and rode around for about an hour and was kept comfortable. My strictly scientific evaluation is that in sub zero temps and blowing snow storm is to keep yourself in the house and watch the snow out the window. Since we don't get those conditions here but every every few years or so, I like it and will continue to use it. So there you have my unsolicited opinion.
having your bottom warm while riding around helps.

too bad your face and fingers and ears still freeze and fall off! :p
Hey the term freezing your butt off is true. If I can keep my butt/brain warm, I'm good for all day...
hoops, I'm with Rancher Guy. My finger face and ears are no problem but our winters are mild compared to our northern cohorts.
