Howdy all. Picked up the new 700 M2 today. Was torn between a Polaris 800 mid size and this. The arena is full of players these days so I went with the reliability factor that Honda is known for. At first glance the fit and finish gets high marks in comparison to other models in this price segment. Also, considering the difficulty I had in locating a machine around here the dealer worked with me really well. As I get a chance to log some seat time Ill post my thoughts. Wish me luck.

I drove a Polaris mid size 800 and a used Can Am 1000 Commander. The Polaris was a little more expensive and for sure faster. The commander was pure sport and not what I wanted. Hoping Honda's reliabilty and resale value remain with the Pioneer. The Honda also happened to cost exactly the amount my insurance gave me for the machine that was stolen from me (Polaris). Made it easy. :)

any way to tell if the Pioneer will hold it's value well over the coming years?

I'll ask my kids, they know everything.

Seriously, without a crystal ball who knows. If the big red is any indication it will do well. Just my $.02

thanks, we'll appreciate it.
hopefully it does, but like you said who knows.
get your kids on this forum!
Hondas hold value... Many of the atv's (if taken care of) bring over book value and some (like the old 300's and 250 big red) people go a little nuts over and pay crazy prices. Of course the demand for them is the biggest factor.
biggest indicator of Hondas value, just look at the crazy demand for those old Honda CB's... a good one in running shape you're looking at at least $4K, thats the price of some new bikes ;)

Oh yea, welcome aboard rob good to have ya. Post up some picks of your Pioneer for the boys. Any build plans?

Thanks Redhead ! Here she be, just a plain Jane for now. Plans are for hard roof, windshield, winch, and possible plow.

love the green, IMO best color on Pioneer. Check out EMP metal they have some good deals on winches 3500 lb Viper Elite Winch with Blue Synthetic Rope

They don;t have pioneer spec accessories yet, but they do have Yamis new Viking in there which makes me think only a matter of time before we start seeing Pioneer spec gear...

sometimes plain and simple is best and clearly thats the case here with the Pioneer. Although red looks amazing, this still looks just as good IMO.
Awesome man! Cograts and post pics when you get it decked out!
