Just curious but do you guys think a Honda Pioneer would be suitable for police use?

No, I don't think it's fast enough. I've talked to a friend of mine in the past who works for the harbor patrol in San Diego. We discussed if they use ATVs/UTVs to patrol shore and beach areas for better access. He didn't think they ever would since most people they'd be chasing would most likely have driven a vehicle to the area. If they fled, you'd have a hard time doing a PIT maneuver in an undersized vehicle.

He did say that the life guards had some ATV's so they could respond to a call quicker. Pioneer might be a good option for a CPR response vehicle.

I know the government is adamant with using only US made products. Say even a gasket for a drain pipe must be made in USA. Even with the Pioneer made in the US, I'm still guessing it would not be allowed. The Police may do the same....not sure..
