My 700-4 came from the dealer with the 2 person poly roof installed. It has functioned well to keep me relatively dry in any rain conditions I have been out in. However, the snow I was out in yesterday, well I think it somehow past directly through the roof panel. 
This is what it looked like after maybe 10-15 minutes of sitting
Yet it still piled on top of the roof too, so maybe it's only a semi porous to snow
