Interesting

Do you use the winch and angle adjust at the same time or would that exceed the electrical system? How many seconds to go from one extreme to the other? Did you buy the plow direct from eagle? If it failed would it be a big job to go back to original setup? Many thanks for the post as I just received my Honda today.

I angle the plow the way I want it before I drop it to plow. It takes less than 6 seconds to go from one side to the other. I bought the plow and mount direct from Eagle. It wouldn't be any harder to reverse it. Other than the electrical hook up it took around 45 minutes to install. Hope this helps

Thanks, I think I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Whats really nice about Eagle is that they are very close to where I live. So far its you and Duwop who has the eagle, anybody else out there? How's it working?

I have it also and had some minor problems at the start (see my post in the accessories forum). It does a good job plowing and I have plowed some heavy deep snow.

It's been snowing since 2 pm it's about 10 inches deep now. I just came in from plowing the drive and the snow is light and semi powder. I do not have the power turn but really don't need it for the minimal amount of snow we get in this region. I can't stress enough how pleased I am with the Honda Pioneer and the eagle snow plow. I was telling the DW I don't know why I went so many years without one. If your on the fence or afraid to pull the trigger. Don't be if your getting up there in age or facing disabilities like me this equipment will simplify your life. As I posted earlier I used the plow to move mulch into a nice tight pile this afternoon. Honda Pioneer does not lack power it is a power house plenty of torq to get the work done. Buy a Honda Pioneer!

I love mine and I don't baby it. I live in north west PA. We have had around 60" of snow. I plow for 11 people who can't shovel. Here is a link about plows it may help http://www.hondapioneerforum.com/forum/honda-pioneer-accessories/3082-ordered-plow-system.html .

I love mine, at the time I ordered mine there was not anything that was 72 in or 6 ft long priced better. Don't look for them to lower their prices. They now what the competition is selling for. You might find one a few dollars less, I too didn't want to spend a bucket load for one as we don't get a lot of snow some years we get no snow. I just told my wife I was not going to buy it this years as I was just being cheap. Well we are in the midst of a 100 year snow event it has been snowing non stop for 25 hrs and we a expecting up to 4 more inches. I am so glad I got one and it and the Pioneer are performing to expectation. I have snow piled 4-5 ft deep and I still will have to plow one more time, I hope.

eagle

Called and talked to eagle today. Sounds like they would sell me the entire setup for 20% off list with no shipping. I asked about the motorized blade (for the 72")adjust and he said that they have had a few break the main gear and he recommended a much spender hydraulic unit for $500. I don't need that option enough to justify the extra money. Basically I'm at 750 for plow/pushtube/plowmount/winchmount/2500lb winch. Seems like a ok deal and I can get it in one day. Anybody else get a Eagle winch/mount?

Holy Crap! I paid 622 for just the plow, push tube, and plow mount. I bought the KFI winch and winch mount seperate.
I was with you, 645 mount push tube and plow.

Sounds like your getting the better deal all that for 750

Interesting

It went kinda like this -
me: I'm local and was interested in getting a quote for an entire setup(winch-72"plow)for my new honda. Could a save "a couple of bucks" by picking it up directly from your location?
eagle: hmm, yeah pickup is ok, hmm let me see......I don't think I can save you "a couple of hundred bucks" but I can do 20% off list. It looks like 750 is what I can do.
(he misheard my request)
I assume the 2500 winch is a pretty cheap one since it sells for $159, not sure if its worth another $100 to get a 3500.
I'll still have state tax and have to drive a few miles..

hydraulic version

I wonder how the hydraulic version would work?

An electric hydraulic powerpack mounted in the honda somewhere I guess?
Here's what I learned today. The hydraulic version has the DC motor and pump attached to the cylinder. Kurt, the owner of American mfg said they are built in Japan and his cost is almost $400. He said it was the oem part for some brands that have dumping boxes. (I want one but can't justify the cost yet)
Maybe I could use it all year round? summer on the box and winter on the plow?:D
