I've been doing a lot of snow plowing with the Pioneer/Warn plow this winter. Seems like every other day. I have noticed something that everyone with this setup should be aware of. If you raise the plow too high, the clamp on the wire rope will hang up in the pulley. I have been trying to watch this but I noticed yesterday that the clamp was showing wear where it hit the pulley. My remedy for this is to change shorten the length of the wire from the winch to plow with a smaller hook....when the weather warms up.

I used to have this problem on some atv plows. I ended up puttin a pulley on the plow itself and would run the cable through the pulley and then run the winch hook back up to a strong mounting point on the machine. This slowed the raising and lowering a little but kept winch from hanging up.
