I just got my Pioneer 2P, delivered yesterday. Plowed snow with it this morning and very pleased with the remote plow switch and power plowing. I have one glitch....Pioneer will not fit in my barn door, too tall! Called the dealer and they have agreed to take hard top roof back and I will try the bimini top for more clearance. Will I run into problems installing bimini since I have the glass windshield? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Good to hear it performed well on the plowing.

The height of the poly roof is an issue a lot of us have faced. I'm not sure how the bimini top works with the glass window. Id ask the dealer when you swap out the roofs.

I took the hardtop back to dealer and they gave me full credit. We decided the bimini top would not work with a glass windshield. I guess I will have a custom canvas cover made or wait for an after market substitute.

I am pleased with the Pioneer. One thing I have encountered; when it is really cold (was -3 this morning) the transmission does not engage without a significant warm up period. I am assuming this is related to the warmth of the transmission fluid? Every Honda product I have owned was cold blooded.

Well the Pioneer uses the engine oil as the tranny fluid. At -3. It's about a 10 minute warm up in my experience. I'll go out and start it, then grab a cup of coffee. When you get in to take off, you'll maybe be at 1 bar on the temp gauge, shifting into gear will still have added force as you take off. By the time you get where your going,it's usually warmed up for the rest of the day. Unless you switch it off for more than 20 minutes.

Too bad about the issues you had with the hard top roof. It might take a little looking but I am sure you can find something that will make a good replacement.

Are you mostly going to use your Pioneer for moving snow, or do you have other plans as well?

And welcome to the forum!

Moose is right about the warm up. It has been -30c all week and warmed up to -15 tonight. I let my Pioneer warm up for 10-15 minutes before moving it tonight and after a short time it was shifting just like it should.
