Been looking over new pioneer and still cant believe that when you lift box there is absolutely no protection as far as mud and grime, i am gonna try and fad. someting along the frame i thought about using one of those roll up sleds we used to use as a kids and fasten it with the plastic push pin style rivits honda uses to hold fender flares on 4-wheelers any ideas are welcome maybe even some heavy rubber Thanks.

i am going to use a rubber truck bed mat and cut it in half to use on both sides.
I think he means in front of the rear tires, the mud that goes threw the frame & onto the engine, ect Good idea on the bed mat or plastic sled, it needs something for sure other than having to remove it to clean in there. I bet some stuff will still get in there.
Thats what i am thinking either fasten them with zip ties or i would like to find the aluminum flat wire ties that you feed back through themselves and then bend over they are reuseable. I am probably gonna start with a piece of rubber like 1/8 thick and fasten it pretty close, it has to help i will try to get pictures when i do it, hopefully it will warm up, to cold to hang in garage when its cold out and try to do a professional job.

But did you watch the YouTube vide on installing them? I think it was linked at the bottom of the page. The way they mount, they may help. Either way, they will still stop the big rooster tails and the spray that comes up and into the back of the bed
If your worried about mud and mudding I get a lil on the back of my motor and iv had mud clean up inside the cab touching the pedals. As far as the cabelas ones id ripp them off in the first hole
