I'm new to this forum, but it have noticed some familiar screen names while lurking around. I currently have a 2012 Foreman that I will likely be selling in the spring and purchasing a side by side. I am looking to learn more about the pioneer as it is one of 3 contenders in my purchase decision. My in-laws have a big red and it is great around the farm, but I don't care much for it on the trail. Mainly because the open diff won't fall out of a tree in 2wd. Hoping the pioneer is a locked rear diff in 2wd.

If it's not, I won't buy one. The big red diff is great in the yard, but looses traction easily on uneven terrain, and if turning slight uphill corners. It's simply and awful setup for 2wd trail riding. In 4wd it's fine, but makes steering is too heavy for leisurely trail riding.
