The hard plastic model from Honda adds a lot of height to the rig, it can make it a pain to get in a garage and or a enclosed trailer. It comes off pretty quick, but day after day, that could get old.

Had my dealer install the hardtop when I bought it. Got it home and because of the height, it would not go in my basement. Very disappointing.
Have you been taking it on and off or did you return it, or parked elsewhere?

I really wish they would note the added height in the parts description, or at least a bulletin to dealers to mention it when selling them.

The dealer threw in a full top when I bought mine. Because of what I have read in the forum, I was very apprehensive about putting it on. It did fit in my garage with about 1" to spare. Now I am looking for an enclosed trailer that it will fit in without removing the top every time. I have check the usual internet sites but most trailers are to low on their interior specs.. Any suggestions.

I'm definitely going to be looking for another roof. I have less than an inch of clearance and once I install larger tires it won't fit in my garage. And it doesn't fit in my toyhauler either. Been thinking I should of went with a soft top.

IMO thats probably one of the bigger faults of it.
Seems like they didn't bother to factor that in, storing our Pioneer's in our own home garages is important. wish they would have factored it in!

Just took it off. My dealer is not close by, so going to see if I can trade it in on some other parts. My full size Tahoe will go in the door....

I feel your pain. I'm kind of lucky that I can get it to fit, but.... I have to pull up, use the door release string on the opener, unhook the elbow that attaches the door to the opener track, and then run the door way up until its flat up top on the opener rails and stick a welding rod in there to keep the door propped up while I pull in. I actually clear by around a 1/4" on the door opening. So I pull in nice and easy

I had been debating a new shop being put up. I think I'm gonna make that happen this spring.

That would be awesome. Make the tent camo with drop down camo sides to cover the pioneer.
Yeah, not the best for bow, but would be good for gun season. Could just lay on my pillow and snooze until Bambi showed up. Might have to rig up a satellite dish and a tv.

What is the height with factory tires and wheels and the honda roof? I'll have to measure my garage door.
