haha no love for polaris, are they really that bad?
No, these are awesome vehicles. I've actually seen these up close and in action (field exercises).

Props to the Pioneer, but these are an entirely different league.

these would do alright but I think our troops might want to be in a armored hummer. instead of a vehicle they can get shot in from almost any angle

Airborne, Special Forces and Navy Seals could drop these and troops in a remote zone for covert ops, carry out mission pick up troops and leave behind. Disposable provided the equipment can hold together enough to accomplish mission.

I hear they are mainly used for patrolling around the bases. As someone said if things were to get hairy you are pretty vulnerable and so I think the actual operations are carried out in armored vehicles. This is more of a security guard. That's my understanding.....

A small company near me started building special construction VW powered military dune buggies years ago, so something like this would probably be a good replacement for them.

Oh, and you say you want one? No problem, with only a 4 year commitment the Marine Corp will glady let you drive one, and they will even pay you to do it. It's a great deal, I know because in the 60's they let me drive a flame throwing tank........Hmmm?..... now that I think about it maybe it wasn't such a great deal after all. :)
