Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I intend on installing electronics (GPS and CB) into the dash of my '16, 1000-5 and I need to know the size of the safety placard, as that's where they'll go. I'm away from my machine so if anyone can give me those dimensions, I would really appreciate it!

Crossroads 3d, where I bought my switch panel, says this about the dash panel.
"This switch panel replaces the center warning plate in your Pioneer 1000."
"Plate is 9.5″ wide, 4.75″ tall."
.
I'll go out to the garage, tomorrow and measure.
.
Have good day

Thanks, I am very happy with the panel from crossroads3d.
It was fun, I wired it all myself, with only a few blown fuses. haha, just kidding
My kids bought me all the switches for Christmas last year.
This year, I asked for a snow plow limit switch, spark plugs, and some LED lights.

Hey, I just reread your start thread.
I never really looked into, because I haven't been in to CB's for a long while.
But, what I have read, most people mount the CB and GPS trail tablet above.
The dash is only plastic. Adding that much weight and then bouncing down the trail, will probably break it out. Inside the dash, I think there are some cross bars, but I don't know if you can clamp to them for a sturdy mount.
However you decide to do it, take lots of pictures and post em up.
Take a look at a few of My DIY threads.
Pictures, diagrams, and walk throughs, anything to make it easier for the next guy.

and, Happy Thanksgiving back at ya. (y)

I'm the same about being away from CB's for years but I hunt/fish in the Idaho mountains and a redundant comms system is my lifeline. Great point about the weight! That tip was the deciding factor so I'll go with a handheld CB with an 5' antenna. I ordered the faceplate with the 3" hole for a marine stereoinstead of GPS. I'll just use my OnX app instead. Pics coming soon. Thanks again for all the help.
