When I went to pick up my pioneer a while back the dealer found an issue putting it together. The bracket the bolt goes to inside the front back rest seat was missing.

I took it home while waiting for the new seat to come in. I'm at 53 miles and am going to wait until the 100 mile oil change and have them take care of that and put new seat on.

I'm guessing it's a rare defect I inherited. :)

Interesting. It would be great if we can get ahold of a service manual or diagram of our Pioneers to see what exact screw is missing and specs on it.

I'd guess it would be a pretty rare one as well. Interesting as you'd think the seats and belts plus their respective brackets would be safety checked to be secure to the unit to avoid a costly personal injury.

It's Ref # 003. Seat-back assy. The left side has nothing to screw the bolts to inside the seat. The dealer has the seat in and I will not be charged anything for it. I did ask them if I could just take it and put it on myself but the dealer has to re-install it for warranty reasons.
