So im thinking its because of the large single cylinder this is happening but wondering if Im the only one with this problem? My honda will stall if I punch it in high torque situations, so I can be on top of a hill climb and hit a tight situation that causes me to slow down. When I accelerate again if I do so to quickly I experience this stalling problem.I cant be the only one this has happened to and wondering others thoughts??? Thanks and look forward to hear others input.

It hasn't happened to me but I think I remember reading on one of the forums that someone was stalling out if they had it in gear and rolled back down a hill. Mayne try a search for stalling hinds pioneer and see if it comes up.

As DG said, this is something that has seemed to be around this drivetrain in the Rincon for awhile. Never had it happen personally. Not sure what the fix is, but talking to the dealer can't hurt.

I was really thinking this was a across the board problem, but now seeing DG actually tried to get his to stall Im thinking mine might need some adjusting. Im going to make a video today and will try to post it later. At least this way I can have proof for the dealer so they don't tell me they couldn't get it to stall.

how many miles do you have on it ? have you adjusted the valves yet ? old gas from a old gas can ? what oil are you using ?

Rich I have just over 250 miles and run honda oil only. I try to only run Non-Ethonal fuel after seeing what can be done by that stuff. And no I haven't had valves adjusted that might do it.

At 250, if you were in super dusty conditions and have a semi clogged air filter, it could be the culprit too. +1 on the valves might be doing it, but maybe blow out the air filter and try a tank of 91+ octane to see if it persists before hauling it in to the dealer.

It happens when I'm trying to push snow sometimes and when trying to get out of the mud. I dont feel like I'm on and off the gas. I assume every honda also detunes itself in reverse. My backfires if I go fast in reverse.

I had this happen several times on my rincon and my pioneer. The issue is the new machine and the computer trying to learn how you drive. Recommend when letting off. Let off slowly dont dump the throttle. And if you get back in t dont punch it just get about half then hit it. Once you get some wear in the machine itll stop stalling

Also not sure if thats back fire or rev limiter lol. Mine in reverse on the revlimiter sounds like it wants to backfire
