O Winston Link Museum is located in Roanoke Va.O Winston Link is a famed photographer many of his works are on display there. Roanoke Va. Is the corporate location for the Norfolk Southern Railway. In its hey day Roanoke Va was called Big Lick not Roanoke. Norfolk Southern maintains a large freight car and locomotive shop in Roanoke today. The railroad is constantly hiring for all positions and is especially in need of skilled welders and highly skilled electricians. Roanoke is also home to a transportation Museum which currently has many Locomotives and is in the process of restoring some of the old steam engines and early Diesel engines.
