Happy Boxing Day. Or is it Merry? Whichever it may be, may your boxes be bountiful:D

Thanks Moose, I never heard anyone wish a happy boxing day before. I am not even sure why they call it boxing day nothing is open. I heard something about in the old days it was the day they boxed gifts up for the servants or something, but its a day off we'll take it! What do you call it in the States?

We don't call it anything. The 26th is just another day. I was reading about it yesterday in some article link that it was a day off in Canada some places, others it was a huge shopping day. You must be in the day off area of the country. From what I read it was a day to give gifts to tradespeople to say thank you for any services rendered through the year.

As far as I know it's a big shopping day just like it is in the u.s.
I have family up in canada and even in their you'll see people waiting hours and line ups wrapping around buildings during boxing day.
