My new pioneer 700-4,,,which has 10 miles on it, just picked it up this week,, was bought for family recreation and some stealth hunting surveillance,,but this exhaust is very loud makes a conversation non existent ,,at 1 time there was a silencer that I think was an addition to the muffler
for the rhino and didnt know if anything was available yet for our UTV

I have the silent rider exhaust kit and it does make a difference. The difference is from the outside though. You can slightly tell in the cab but you can tell big time when you hear it pass by. The engine noise is the problem in the cab not the exhaust. Anyways I do like it but sometimes get frustrated with the loss of power. They warn you to begin with though. They say if you are going to tow or need power then take it off for the time being. My friends constantly comment on how quiet my machine is when they are in theirs, so that must mean something.

I agree that you are experiencing engine noise and not exhaust noise. After a week of hunting with 7 others everyone commented on how quiet my pioneer was compared to other SXS' while I was thinking it was noisy.

Yesterday I took out the sparkarester and found the inter baffle moveng inside of the muffler.and it made some strange noise at a idle.. I took along screwdriver and held it tite and the noise stopped .. thought about welding it .. 1 hit with a hammer on the bottom stopped the movement and the noise.. I was wondering where the the noise came from .. it did it sence it was new ...not any more

You have one of the defective mufflers some of us have experienced (bad welds). Take it to your dealer and they will replace the whole muffler. You may also be loosing power and not know it until you get the new one.
