I have a new 2017 pioneer 700 4. Had it all of 5 months..it is garage kept and usually started it everyday, if only to back it out. Florida weather has prevented that for 2 weeks but made a lot of mud 😋 loaded up , turned the key nothing. Tried charging battery ...nothing. Wondering if it could be a default requiring 1st time service? Any thoughts would be appreciated

I am having what sounds like the exact same issue - same setup, same state, same care. Simply nothing happens when I turn the key. I’ve triple checked and even replaced the battery (long before I needed to). Seems as though the ignition system switch is not responding to the key. Any thoughts?

Howdy and welcome to @ARV-UTV from Northern Iowa
.
More information will help us help you. Model? Year? Miles?
You are in a 700 thread, so I figure a 700.
.
Do you have any dash lights when you turn on the key?
Do you have any flash codes?
.
Some Tests.
Put it in park, will it crank?
While in park, step on the brake, will it crank?
Put it in neutral, will it crank?

Check fuses.
You can get a free digital manual here if you need one.
It shows where and how to check the fuses.
.
Bad ignition switches in older 700s are a known problem.
This picture is from a 2016 700.

His problem wasn't starting, but starting with no key, and it would start all by itself.

If you get nothing when you turn the key, sounds like the main fuse is blown.
