Yikes, i didnt realize these were in such high demand. A client owns a dealership and is goong to take care of me but knowing they r in high demand, low margin it will be hard to get a good deal. I was going down the path of polaris ranger 570 until reading more about the pioneer but i never like ordering a completely new and not totally proven product that is in short supply so not sure what i will do. I love honda, switched from sportsman due to problems and bought a rancher 9 yrs ago and it has been perfect. Im leaning toward pioneer for same reason.

Sure, its a first year model, but its also a Honda. They over engineer, under power, and over build everything.

Sure its not the fastest, or the most powerful, but I guarantee it will outlast everything else on the market. Thats all I was looking for.

My local dealer has about 4 in stock at the moment...well 3 now:D. He said there is plenty of interest but right now most people are in sled mode up here.

It seems they can't move much on the unit itself, only on the freight/setup and accessories.. If they won't move much, haggle hard on the accessories and freight.

I almost bought a ranger 900 but when I saw the honda I knew it was a better fit. My wife and son can now ride with me + I have a whole bed for hunting season. Win win in my books.

you must have got the auto trans on the rancher. techniquly the pioneer isn't a new machine its just a new body. front end is from a big red. rear end and brake system off a Rincon. motor off the Rincon and big red for years. trans is still basically the same for over 10 years.

Oh, well, that certainly makes sense and makes me feel better. My rancher is manual shift, well, es shift, and it has been awesome. I trust honda but always have some hesitation re new products but this appears to be made of proven technology, i love that.

they are hard to get because they are making them in the old PWC plant and they dont have the assembly line fully up. Honda did not expect the Pioneer to take off like it did. It is a proven machine for engine and trans just a all new body and suspension. I know of people that have 500 or close to that in miles and no problems.

My local dealer has a 4p and a 2p in stock if anyone is looking. Both are in red the fastest color.[/QUO

I have to correct this. Camo is faster but you probably didnt see it passing you because it blended in with the terrain.
He might have seen a slight green flash as I pulled you past him. :D
