What winch to choose? I talked to a dealer that said he would not carry Warn products anymore because they do not job or their warranty. I found a company that has a limited lifetime warranty which is better than any others I looked at. I am trying to decide which one to go with.

I've owned around a dozen Warn winches. Hard use on pretty much all of them. Only ever had one issue with one of those and that was an issue with the free spool that I fixed in about 5 minutes and never had an issue again.

Currently run an XT30 on my quad and XT40 will be on my Pioneer soon as it comes in.

Warranties are nice, but its better to have something that you won't have to make a claim on.

To me personally, that's what Warn is good for.

I agree with you Moose. The only atv winch I ever owned was a warn and after going through 2 $100 selinoids I swore off warn

I sell a lot of the Viper winches (Max line). Decent warranty and a good company to work with. Warn would be the top of the line but if your looking to save a few bucks Viper or KFI would be my choices. I use the Vipers on my personal wheelers and haven't had any serious problems with them. Well once the contactor shorted out and pulled the winch off of the mounting plate but that was a fairly cheap fix.

I would of, but didn't want to take all the good plays on words

Maybe just dumb luck or if you used the winch a lot maybe how you used it?

Warn is just one of those products you don't really need to worry about a warranty because they just work all the time.

I'd give them another chance.
