I see people saying that they're getting different warn winches and KFI winch mounts. Can you put a different winch on a different brand winch mount? So if KFI has a cheaper mount and you want a warn winch, is that possible?

Yes, just check to make sure they will work together. I have a KFI winch mount, with a Warn winch. Some winch mounts will only marry up to their own brand, but they are few and far between

I'm no expert by any means but what I was told is that the Pro-Vantage, Vantage is replacing the XT,RT series. I cant say if they are better or worse just newer.

Pro-Vantage = RT (Wire)

I have the Warn provantage 4500 with KFI mount. Works great together.

If you use the Super ATV mount, you better make sure that whatever winch you use will fit. I know that the common small pattern winches like Badlands, Champion, and others won't work.

Seems the KFI works with just about everything.
