I am looking to order the hard roof and honda split windshield. Honda wanted to charge me $500 alone in labor costs and of course I declined. How hard is it to install these items yourself? I am looking into ordering the parts in a couple weeks. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 2 seater. I installed windshield and hard top myself because didnt have time to wait on dealer to do it. Took no more than 30 mins all total to get installed. one big thing to rememember is to remove the little rubber piece that the instructions tell you to remove that is in the clamp. THey just ship it that way. I will tell you if you are smart enough to drive a honda, then you will be fine on install. Dont even have to be a DIYer. Thanks.

Roof/Winshield install

No order required, can do either one fiirst.
The roof actually sits on top a rubber seal along top edge of windshield, and quick clamps on front of roof are back away from winshield, so install is easy in any order.

I work at a dealer and there's absolutely no way there's $500 worth of labour on that install. The roof literally takes minutes. As for the windsheild, if your riding the short bus and it's your first time insalling the windshield it couldn't possibly take more than an hour to do both.
Not surprised, thats why they call them stealerships :D

Yeah, but I will not be using this dealer for anything, and that includes servicing my machine. I just used them because they were the only dealer where I could get my machine from due to the lack of supply.

Depends on which windsheild your talking about? The steel frame/glass one will have some gaps at the bottom and is not a perfect fit along the bottom. The Plastic ones fit better along the bottom but still not perfect. Once the pushpins are installed in the center the fit looks much better than before they're in.
